Heidi Knew That This Was A Scam
Our administrative assistant, Heidi, just received a phone call from an anonymous caller.
The man on the phone said he was “Windows IT Support”, that her computer was sending them “signals”, and it needed to be fixed immediately.
He could fix it for her. All she needed to do was get in front of her computer and push the windows key + R key.
Heidi knew that this was a scam.
She asked him “ Do you know who you are calling?” He gave a random name. She asked, “Did you know that this is an IT support company? I know that this is a scam.”
The man said “Oh! Sorry.” and hung up.
